CC Angioedema
The attack of angioedema involves a variety of different diagnoses. Roughly, histamine- and bradykinin-induced angioedema can be distinguished. Both forms require a diametrically different therapy. In order to effectively suppress life-threatening respiratory edema at an early stage, an early specific diagnosis is important. The laboratory and clinical differential diagnosis of bradykinin- and histamine-induced angioedema is therefore a major concern of the working group Angioedema.
In addition, we are investigating the efficacy of newly developed drugs for the treatment of angioedema within the framework of various clinical studies.
